Standard Bank fails to remit fine to AARTO

I paid an AARTO fine via the traffic fines portal on the standard bank app on the 4th July 2024 for a violation committed on the 22nd June. The fine would increase to R1000 if not paid before 23rd July. After paying the fine, i noticed it still appeared as unpaid yet funds went off my account and i could download proof of payment from my statement. When I queried this with AARTO, they informed me the money was NOT paid to them and i had to ask Standard bank who they paid. I have called standard bank 3 times now and days after each call, the fine would disappear and reappear. After each of those calls, i would get SMSes informing me that the issue has been resolved. so, 3 times after the issue is resolved, the fine still appears and had not only gone to R1000, but higher including admin fees. cannot understand why Std bank could not simply remit the funds to AARTO and get it over and done with. Nobody has called as promised on all 3 ocassions.

So, this morning I receive an email that the matter is resolved and closed. Well, except that it isn't! The fine still reflects and your excuse that you cannot reach me is unbelievable. If someone really wanted to talk to me and they were unable to over the phone, why not leave a message and a number to return the call? I have been responding to emails because i am getting them. Please resolve my issue stop ducking and diving!

Today, I was informed that my matter was resolved and that I had to check if the fine still appeared on my profile. Well, I am happy to say it seems the matter has indeed been resolved, shouldn't have taken this long but I am happy it has come to an end. Thanks Yolanda.
