Standard Bank employee's judgements on their customers
Yesterday, I went to a Standard Bank branch, in Southgate, at about 3:30 p.m. I wanted to increase my EPA limit and I was kept at the bank at about 6 p.m being interrogated on why I had a large sum of money in my bank account. The manager of the bank would not approve my request because of this interrogation. Only when I asked the Sales consultant, Tina, if it the reason behind this interrogation was because of my race, did she decide to help me. In contrast, when I went to a different Standard branch, in Eldorado Park, weeks before this, tranferring a larger sum of money, I was helped within 15 minutes.
Please rectify this matter and your employee's judgements on customers.
