STANDARD BANK DOES NOT WANT TO SET ME FREE FROM THE DEBT COUNSELING EVEN AFTER SETTLING THE CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT AND ASKING THEM TO RELEASE MY HOME LOAN ACCOUNT BECAUSE I CAN PAY ON MY OWN NOW AS I'M LEFT WITH ONE ACCOUNT.

I have two accounts under Debt counseling: Home Loan and Credit card. On 16 August, I settled the credit card and sent a proof of payment that evening, asking a settlement letter and asking the home loan account to be removed from the debt counseling because I will be able to make monthly payments on my own. They have me a turn around time of 7 working days. Up to this juncture, they didn't reply me as yet. IS THIS THE WAY THEY ARE TRYING TO LOCK ME UP TO THE DEBT COUNSELING WITH THEIR HIGH CHARGES? PLEASE HELP.
