Standard bank does not care about its customers!!

On the 3rd of September, I noticed that 5 charges of R250 was debited to my cheque card for Itunes.com, these charges were not mine, my Itunes profile does not show them and I definitely did not spend the money. I called the Standard bank ***** line and I was advised that because I have purchased items from Itunes before, I have to fill in a statement of dispute for each transaction and that my card would be stopped and a new one issued. I sent the statements of dispute and received an email stating that they have been received. On Friday 7 September I received a text message stating that my card was ready for collection at my branch. The next morning I went to the branch to collect the card, while I was standing in the queue to get the card I received a message stating that a service call was open (I assume it is for the money **********ly taken from my account). As the progress in the queue was very slow – only two people serving about 25 – I opened the standard bank app to see my balance. I was horrified to see that after the card was stopped, another 5 charges for Itunes was paid from my account. I collected the new card and once again called the ***** line. I explained to the agent that I could not afford R2 500 disappearing from my account and asked if they could not reverse the charges. I was put through to her supervisor that informed me that it was not really Standard bank’s problem as it was Itunes debiting my account‼ According to her my only recourse was to fill in statements of dispute for the transactions again, which I did. It is now two weeks later and I still do not have any answers. Standard bank clearly has no regard for its customer’s security and the safety of their money. I have always been extremely careful when purchasing anything online, I only pay reputable sites. Usually when a charge goes through on my card I receive a text message, none of these transactions caused that. That is a little strange‼ Standard bank shows ads in their branches about their digital banking being safe, this is clearly not the case, and they do not really care about the fact that their customer’s money was ******. I am sure the overpaid employees at the bank can afford to lose R2500 to *****, but I can’t. THIS BANK IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED WITH YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY‼
