Standard Bank do not care about clients.
I was retrenched last year, I did all my paper work for the insurance policy that Standard Bank supply if you lose your job. After not hearing anything concrete from Standard we went to the Kolonnade branch, there they looked on the system and told us that it has been approved and the 6 months instalment have been paid to the home loan account and we do not have to do anything else. We then received a call and e-mail from Eli at ********** 350 ********** indicating to call urgently. We did but were told she is busy and we must call back in 30min. We called again, and she was still busy and asked if she could call back. She never called back or answered her phone for the next 2 days. Then Standard bank deducts the instalment, we gave them a call and they say there is more paperwork that must be done. A SIGNED MOTIVATION LETTER TO INDICATE WHY THE INSTALMENTS SHOULD NOT BE DEDUCTED. • I was retrenched!!!!!!!! • The insurance policy has already paid out for 6 months!!!!!!! All asked paperwork was send through and we don’t get any feedback. Then another instalment is deducted.
This means that Standard bank takes 2 instalments a month (1 insurance instalment and 1 instalment from a retrenched client that can not afford it.)
Standard bank insurance policy’s do not mean anything except to make Standard bank money!
Regards,
Jan.
