Standard bank Digital banking failure

I replaced my cell phone in this week and consequently had to install apps etc. on the new phone. I installed the standard bank app and after an immense struggle managed to get it working (only able to log on to the app) On Friday, the 22nd of July I went to the branch at Festival mall, Kempton park. I spent two hours in the branch without achieving a single thing. The consultant that helped me suggested that I might be out of data, which was not the case. She then suggested I uninstall and re-install the app, which also did not work. She then suggested that the device might be incompatible with the app, which is also not the case because on Saturday the 23rd of July, I again uninstalled and re-installed the app. This time however I could log on using wi-fi, but when using mobile data the app failed to launch. I checked all the settings on my handset and the app is set to run on mobile data and wi-fi. So issue number 1, the app on mobile data is extremely shaky and logs on once in every 5 attempts. Saturday morning I phone the standard bank helpdesk for assistance. I got through to a consultant that asked me to hold while she investigates, approximately 7 minutes later the call gets cut off. I phoned again, this time on the 086 number and immediately after the consultant transfers me to the correct department....the call gets cut off. I then decide to go back to the branch, this time in Lakeside mall Benoni. Once there, I manage to log on to the app using the bank's guest wi fi, only to be told that they can not help me due to the digime function is not appearing on the app and that I should phone the helpdesk. I HAVE DONE THAT TWICE ALREADY. So what I am experiencing now is that the helpdesk can't help me and the branch can't help me. The only option I had, is to draw cash, and pay the extorsion like service fee, drive another 40km to site to pay my employees all because the app doesn't work. I can't make internet payments because my device isn't linked to my profile and I can't link my device because no one seems to be able to help me. How is it possible that my banking comes to a virtual stand still because of an app? I also suppose that I can not claim the service fee, or fuel money that I incurred back from standard bank. I am seriously considering changing bank because I cannot for the life of me understand why it is so difficult, time consuming and costly to get an app to work on a cellphone.
