Standard bank did not tell me that I can cross the border with a vehicle financede by them

I recently bought a car from Standard Bank and now I am told that I can not cross the border with the vehicle if I have had it l for less than 3 months. But why I am only get to know this in the day of travel. Apart from that I need to travel around SADC countries frequently so can someone from standard bank call to discuss giving the document to cross the border or an arrangement for me to return the car and buy an alternative vehicle (cooling off period) so I can continue with my trips.
