Standard Bank decidedly ******.
Standard bank trades heavily on people of colour outnumbering whites. All adverti*****ts pointedly rubbing the noses of whites in Standard Bank favouring people of colour over whites. Rarely if ever seeing an adverti*****t including a white.

17 Feb 2021, 08:37I provide a copy below of a letter to Mr Arno Daenke to which I have not had a satisfactory response
T.J.THEUNISSEN Room B2 Ark for Men, City of Refuge, 5 Old Faure Rd Faure: (No post delivery service). Correspondence: to c/o Shoprite 10A Main Road, Eerste River.7100 ***Cell: ***. MR ARNO DAEHNKE STANDARD BANK CENTRE 5 SIMMONS STREET JOHANNESBURG. 2001 10th December 2020 *** Sir, FAST WANING FAN AFTER 60 YEARS. 1. From circa 1961 I have been a “fan” [customer] of Standard Bank but am now “gatvol” [if the turn of phrase may be forgiven] with the time wasting sit-queues – awaiting any contemplated visit to Std Bank with huge reluctance and trepidation of spending an hour; merely to make the simplest enquiry to a “human” [for which Internet Banking cannot provide an answer nor solution] in a [stationary!] sit-queue comprised of others already dying [or in a stage of decomposition] eyes fixed on a [stopped] branch clock on a wall – waiting - for a consultant in an obviously hopelessly understaffed branch. 2. It seemingly escaping Standard Bank customers, not being fools with unending patience tolerance level, have long ago tumbled to the inescapable reality; in order to finance huge salaries and bonuses for “top-dogs” [doing - what?]; and attractive dividends for share–holders [also caught up in time-wasting sit-queues] staff has been replaced with “contract tellers” etc - leaving 4 – 6 [lonely] terminals. 3. Erstwhile customers having showed their disapproval – with their feet! Hence the rapid growth of Capitec [You will have noticed!].
4. Notwithstanding aforesaid [as a freelance accountant for many years!] I generally advise my clients and others “I hate all the banks – hating Standard Bank the least – despite their preoccupation with ’fees’ – their internet banking being the best’”
5. In closing I am compelled to draw your attention to the splendid customer service readiness to “go the extra-mile” of “little giant” branch manager “Bully” [Bulelwa Mbinda] of tiny Eerste River Branch; coping with the ponderous “system” faced by consultants; also already dying [or in a stage of decomposition] eyes endlessly fixed on a monitor. “Bully” [Bulelwa Mbinda] must never be retrenched, allowed to resign [nor die] being an example to others beyond her years. Some encouragement to her not being misplaced. I’ll check!. Yours faithfully
