Standard Bank Credit Cards and MacRoberts?

Because of Covid my husband was retrenched so we could not pay our credit card installments. We have been pestered by people called Mac Roberst Attorneys, claiming to speak on behalf of Standard Bank Credit Cards demanding payments. At some point, we received an sms offering a discount (sms available). When I called them (spoke to 2 consultants, names and dates available and it they are truly recording the calls as they claim, the recording should be there). They both confirmed that if we paid that discounted amount, the credit card would be closed. We expressed our willingness to discuss the matter further and were told that Ms so-and-so who is handling our file would contact us. Then a big nothing..... And once again, we started receiving smses demanding this and that, as if the 2 phone calls we made never happened..... What is happening Standard Bank? who are these ******? Another form of ***** with the collusion of the bank?
