STANDARD BANK CREDIT CARD PAID UP AT MBD AND INCORRECTLY UPDATED WITH CREDIT bureau

I had a credit card that was handover to MBD debt collectors in December 2020, I settled the account in December 2021, the update in the Credit bureau is the account has been made active this is not correct the account should be closed in the Credit Bureau. This is having a detrimental impact on my affordability and getting finance for a car. I now have a credit report that shows that I am paying the full amount of the outstanding place that was settled each month. I need the status of the account to be changed to closed by Standard bank. I have the paid up letter from MBD and the update done by Standard bank is having negative impact on my financial life
