Standard bank credit card division

After I've made a statement on hello-peter a little while ago about Standard Bank Credit Card division, herewith the results:

I was contacted by Standard bank Card Division officials and informed that they cannot assist me and that they will not take responsibility for their mistakes by not closing the Blue Bean credit card completely (of which they actually opened up a new gold credit card account in my name without my knowledge after i told them to transfer the amount on the Blue Bean card to my existing Gold Card). I had to pay the outstanding amount to clear my name as this was already handed over to attorneys for collection.

This is bad really very bad business practices. Be warned: If you have a Standard Bank credit Card or any account with Standard Bank please make sure that if you cancel or stop your card or account that the bank closed it properly otherwise you will be charged for insurance even after your death. Standard bank insurance department did not offer an apologize, they just wanted their payment. Apparently they can open a closed account to deduct the insurance premiums without your knowledge. Standard bank Insurance department selling accidental death policies should be handled with extreme care.
