Standard Bank could not care LESS about their customers/
Standard bank could not care less. I struggled for weeks to get a payment holiday approved. Eventually this was approved telephonically.
Despite this arrangement being in place Standard Bank continued to debit my current account every month with my vehicle finance payment.
18 August I posted a complaint on hello peter after I called the call centre for days and tried to lodge a complaint via the Standard Bank Website.
1 hour later a automated reply informed we that this matter will be addressed
A week later 24 August I received an email from Joseph Witticker asking for ALL my personal details. I rep**** 25 August at 7:03 with all my details
26 August no feedback from Joseph and a I send a follow up emal
27 August still no feedback - posted a follow up on original posting on hello peter and send another email to Joseph
28 August tried to call the call centre but eventually hung up. And lodge another complaint via the Standard Bank Website.
And now my account is in arrears and Standard Bank could care less. Its okay for Standard Bank staff to ignore your emails. It okay for Standard Bank to not attend to complains lodged on their website / hello peter and via facebook. It okay for Standard Bank to leave customer uninformed and uneducated.
Today a received a call from an attorney informing me that my Vehicle finance account is in arrears. I was still trying to figure out how and when the payment holiday ended and why suddenly I had not debit order on my account. I was in causalities with my husband who was admitted and asked her to please call me bank in an hour. NO CALL BACK RECEIVED
Also Joseph Witticker eventually decided to call me after 2 months. It was impossible to talk to Joseph - he refused to take ownership of the fact that he ignored my emails (that was send to his personal email) and that we could have prevented this entire situation. He cant explain to me why the debit order was cancelled without my consent. He even had the audacity to ask me why I did not go to a Standard Bank branch and sort this out. During LOCKDOWN?? With a ill husband he asks me why I did not go to the branch.
Im extremely disappointed in the why Standard Bank treat clients. I kept on call because I need clarification on the payment holiday situation and the debit order on my account.
I asked Joseph to transfer me to his superior and was informed that all supervisors are in a meeting. I then asked for a telephone number for R Rossouw who's apparently his superior and this time I was told she works from home and client cant call her.
