Standard Bank Continuous Faulty Online Banking

Standard Bank Online Banking has been offline today yet again. This is the 6-7th time this year already. How can a bank continue to operate when it cannot supply its customers with basic services. I had to make numerous payments today and was unable to do so. We know all the banks have issues...but i bank with Nedbank/ABSA as well and have had zero Online Banking issues for the entire 2015 so far. Standard Bank is by far the worse and must surely be now regarded as the worse of the Four Major Banking institutions in South Africa!

Its widely known that Standard Bank does not wish to do business with Black Owned SME's and also does not grant mortgages to them or self employed individuals...but this continuous online lack of service clearly highlights their disdain for the clients, the ones that suffer are from the poorer socio economic group.

Shame on you Standard Bank - you are a crystal clear reflection of the Old Government!!

Hello puffy187,

I refer to your complaint received, with regards to the Bank's service breakdown experienced on Thursday 10 September 2015.

I fully understand the level of your frustration, and apologise most sincerely for the inconvenience caused due to non-availability of online systems, and system failure in general.

The Bank have publicly apologised, and I assure you that we have put in additional staff to assist with backlog, so as no not inconvenience our valued clients further.

We are doing our best to make sure that issues are reduced, and that fixes are implemented to allow quicker response time.
I assure you that until such time that the new Internet Banking is rolled out, we are doing everything in our power to limit and reduce issues on Internet Banking.

Your concerns raised regarding the Bank and socio-economic issues have been raised with your suite.

I trust that the above clarifies your concerns raised and that business between yourself and the bank can be restored.

Kind regards
