STANDARD BANK CHARGING FEES FOR LOCAL AIRBNB BOOKINGS!

I think there's a **** going on here. I have booked Airbnb both locally and internationally many times, and am well aware that when I book and pay for international accommodation, I am liable for a foreign currency fee. I pay in ZAR, the vendor is paid in their home currency and every bank then applies a conversion rate and takes a fee. BUT if it's local accommodation, paid in ZAR and the vendor receives ZAR, then Airbnb maintain there should be NO fee and whenever I have used ABSA or Nedbank, there hasn't been one. NOW I have a new STD credit card and they are charging a fee. Is it possible that EVERY South African who is booking an end-of-year holiday in SA is paying this "imaginary" fee??? I can't believe that. And please don't come back with "a service agent will be in touch" They won't . I called to complain, about 2 weeks ago, and nobody gets back to you!
