Standard Bank charges the highest interest rate of all banks.

Standard Bank charges the highest interest rate as far as I am concerned. I have been a client with Standard for the past 15 years and I had recently found out that they have been charging me a ridiculous interest rate on my credit card. Three other banks had offered me a credit card with higher limit and at least 3,5% less than what my bank (Standard bank) was charging me. I was also told that the interest rate would be further reduced if I move my business to them. I immediately informed Standard that they need to review my credit card interest rate and they came back to me with a meagre 1% less than what I have been charged so clearly, they couldn't match any of those banks. I am now planning to move my business to other banks because they have been ripping me off for years. I should have seen the warning signs long time ago when I was buying a vehicle because at that time, 2 other banks gave me a better rate. moreover, when I was in the process of buying a house, another bank gave me a better rate. Therefore, although I bank with Standard bank, both my vehicle and house are financed by other banks and the instalments goes off from my Standard Bank account but not anymore!
