Standard Bank Business Account Debit Orders

Please be careful when opening a Business account at Standard Bank. Apparently if a person have your details, they can set up a debit order on your Standard Bank business account without your confirmation. Further more, when you report it at Standard Bank, they inform you that they cannot stop any one making debit order on your business account if the dates and reference numbers and amount changes. Apparently Standarbank can only stop a debit order if its a fixed a amount on a fixed date with a fixed reference numbers. One would think the bank would protect its business customers. So there you have it, 3rd parties can load debit orders on your account, take money and you cant do anything. Cant wait to change the business account to another bank.
