STANDARD BANK BELIEVES IN NO FEEDBACK

On 4 May 2015 I erroneously effected an EFT on internet banking to the incorrect beneficiary. I called the call centre , and explained that I was hasty in making the payment , and acknowledge my mistake and will therefore gladly pay the R290 penalty in order for the transaction to be reversed. On 15 May 2105 Ntabiseng phoned me and said my request is declined , as the beneficiary does not have sufficient funds in his account. I pointed out that he has a Standard Bank acc , so whether I owe the R99 to Standard Bank , or he does. Standard Bank is still the same off , other than benefitting from the R290 charge. I indicated that I am not responsible to pay off another client's overdrawn account. She was going to escalate the matter to a manger and get back to me. Three emails to her and the Prestige Online Banking Help Centre has proved no feedback. I acknowledge the mistake I made in haste , and cannot understand how a reversal cannot be effected between two standard bank accounts. But according to Ntabiseng , the way to solve this is to pretend she never heard from me...BAD BAD SERVICE!! I will escalate this to Ombudsman if need be.
