STANDARD BANK

I'm a standard bank loyal customer for plus minus 20 years, and since they developed a one telephone number for all the branches, i.e. you need to call their call center *** to be put through to the relevant branch or department and it's such a shame that this method is clearly not working as most of their call center agents are not clued-up with their products. I'm not even blaming the center agents but their superiors. At one point I app**** for a replacement of a lost card and I was asked to which branch must it be delivered, I told them Clear Water Mall in Roodepoort, and I was told that on their system it shows that that mall is closed which is not the case, the card ended-up being delivered at my home and had to drive to the same mall to get it activated.

My biggest frustration is that I also pay legal insurance through them on a monthly basis and last year on the 12 of October 2021, I sent an email with a legal issue that needed their legal expertise, a respond was received on the 13th of October 2021 that said they will attend to my matter within 48 hours, to date nothing has been done. I have been following up on this issue but I have been sent from pillar to post with no success. If standard bank's call center agents don't even know which department to put me through for over 4 months of frustrations, how do I then get help? My account gets debited with ease but when help is needed they are a no show.

Can someone at Standard Bank explain whose brilliant idea was to have one number for all your branches (all over the country) and products? Change is good when it is productive and also benefits all but the current system in place, truly sucks, I don't think this strategy was well thought through because we as clients now suffer because of this.

SOMEONE AT STANDARD BANK PLEASE DO SOMETHING

Thank you for your response, but how long will it take this time for someone to contact me from your legal department.
