Standard bank a decline so rapid it's scary.

This banking institution has deteriorated over the past 5 years to a gnarled husk of it's former self. I have been with them for almost 50 years. Millions upon millions have gone through my account over the years. I had several businesses I sold including 40 shops to Pepkor. Now I'm retired and run a small b&b from home. This load shedding has hit the business hard. I requested assistance from the bank so I could install a basic solar unit. I have a small o/d of R75k. They declined.

Last week I was R5 over the limit (yes R5) they bounced an insurance premium of R140 and charged me R147 to do it!

When I wrote to Sim Tshabalala (he never rep****, who does he think he is?) I got a call from a lady at head office who said we will refund the charge "as a good will gesture". This condescending attitude I don't need and I told her to keep the money as they obviously need it more than I do.

I am in the throws of selling some property and when this goes through it's bye bye Standard bank. You are no longer needed.

I warn any potential customers that their service stinks. Loyalty means nothing. The fiscal Gods hide in their Ivory towers (Tshabalala) and to hell with their customers of fifty years loyalty. They don't deserve the time of day let alone your hard earned money.
