DO NOT TAKE OUT A HOME LOAN WITH STANDARD BANK. Stick with your own bank which i wish we would have done going back to FNB! STANDARD BANK ****S YOU INTO OPENING UP A BANK ACCOUNT TO GET A GOOD INTEREST RATE ONLY TO NOT GIVE IT TO YOU AND CHARGE YOU THE FULL INTEREST RATE ON A HOME LOAN THEN BEFORE YOUR FIRST DEBIT ORDER THEY SEND YOU AN EMAIL TELLING YOU THAT YOU RATE WENT UP! 8.75% TO 10.5% ****MMMM

14 Dec 2022, 11:25I will believe it when I see it as i am still waiting, but honestly wish I had never decided to opt for the Standbank home loan and should have saved myself the time and stress and rather gone with Nedbank or FNB offers. Now I will need to go back to FNB but this is the first and last time I deal with Standard bank, I do not recommend Standard bank.
