Standard Bank

On 15 April 2019 I was contacted by the Sheriff of the Court and was informed that he is in position of a judgement against my name that was filed during July 2018 by Standard Bank RSA. As you can imagine I was taken by surprise! This was for a short payment for a property sold during October 2016 already. I am possession of a paid up account letter from Standard bank, even got money back from the sales proceedings. After lengthy telephone calls to lawyers and Standard bank I was told that their "client" was very sorry, they made a mistake! How d hell do you make a mistake like that and ruins a persons life! Now, I have to contact all credit companies and send then the Notice of Abandonment of the Judgment. How long will it take to clear my name?? Surely this is not the way to treat anyone, or is it a matter of the big boys bullying the rest?
