So called "professional banking"

I have been a Standard Bank customer for all my life, but now I am trying to upgrade my account to the Professional Banking account, on the website it says that you would need to have one of the specific degrees, proof of residence and ID.

I contacted them to get the account, I was then told that my salary would need to be paid into my existing Standard Bank account (there is no mention of needing a existing Standard Bank Account), so I comply and switch my salary.

Once this was done, I contacted the assigned person again and receive no response for about a week. I send another email asking for feedback, no response for about a week. I then send another email saying that I assume I am not going to get feedback and will be closing my Standard Bank Accounts, I then get a response with some bazaar story saying that she did reply just the night before but computer was working offline (I did not receive that email once she was then online). And that it is required that 3 consecutive months salary be paid into my account (the account that is not stated anywhere that I need).

As far as I can see, it does not state anywhere that you need a existing account that 3 months salary needs to be paid into. In fact it says that there is no minimum salary requirements and you can be in your final year of studies to qualify for the account in which time you would not have any salary.
