SLOPPY WORK

I am so Angry, words cannot begin to express how mad I am at this bank...

I actually refuse to believe that ANYONE can be as lazy and sloppy as standard bank employees, honestly. From their twitter people to their call center people. SLOPPY WOR****

I have a student loan with this bank and I have been paying it myself, at some point, life happened and I skipped two months of payments (my fault, yes - but the agreement was to debit on the 26th or 28th of every month and they had a bad habit of only debiting on the 1st week of the new month - thats very late for someone who has things to do with her money) Anyway, a nice lady called me and told me I'm in 2 months arrears and that I should make an arragement. I accepted and said instead of paying R1000 as I have been paying, I will now pay R1500 monthly to catch up, even after catching up, I will keep it at R1500. She agreed. confirmed my details. I was very specific that the money should be debited on the 25th of every month. She seemed to understand.

Next thing I know, the 25th comes and goes, no debit order... My sister then sends me an email on the 26th telling me that std bank debited 1500 from her account and it bounced! I was so annoyed, How do you get me and my sister mixed up? I confirmed I was paying it myself, now why is it being debited out of the wrong account??? ok fine. it was a back and forht with the bank for a while. Eventually it was fixed. It happened again end of OCT. I got a phone call on the 31st of october telling me my payment bounced, I was like "what do you mean??? It was never debited" The lady checked and said "oops, we debited from the wring account, please make an EFT payment of 1500" I said to her... fine, I'll pay but please cancel the debit order because they never seem to want me to pay this loan in peace. either its being debited late or from the wrong account!!!

I was busy that day so I did not have time to do the payment the very same day. The following day, I made an EFT payment of 1500.

Next thing I know, STD bank is calling my sister and my mom, looking for me, busy telling them I'm in arrears, like... why did I agree to pay 1500 to begin with??? and its not my fault that the work was sloppy. so sloppy that they debited from the wrong acc twice!!! now they are harrassing me?? As far as I'm concerened, I made an arrangement to go from paying 1000 pm to paying 1500 pm because I wanted to catch up, now I'm being slowed down because some people dont do their jobs properly???

Anyway, so next thing I know, I'm being contacted by some lady telling me shes an Attorney and she's calling to tell me that I owe the bank R1200 and I need to pay it now,

How Am I handed over when its the bank that doesnt work as it should? I;m so tired of this bank. You can even go to Twitter messages and see how much I complained about this student loan and all the calls I have made trying to fix this. And they have the nerve to escalate me to their lawyers?? I should be escalating them to MINE!!! I did not say I wont pay off this loan. I want to and I will... Can they just start behaving like a reputable bank maybe??? I cant deal. I cant potty train my son at home then come here and potty train std bank too... come on now.

I'm only in arrears because they have dropped the ball so many times and now my name is being dragged through th mud!! please fix this!! I will not let this one go without a fight. I promise you

What they need to do is to tell their lawyers to stop harrassing me because It's their fault I'm where I am today.
