SIMPLER,BETTER,FASTER . . . YEAH RIGHT! MORE LIKE HARDER,WORST,SLOWER

2 weeks ago i traded in my vehicle, the dealership paid out the full amount to the cent, however i had a bad experience with this same bank a fews years ago where for 3 months consecutively (even though) the account was settled in full they deducted for 2 vehicles (the old and the new car). . . it took them months to solve the issue and i had to keep calling to make sure the reversal of my funds was happening as none of them bothered to call to assure me that everything is sorted (WHY SHOULD THEY ITS NOT LIKE MONEY IS BEING DEDUCTED FROM THEIR ACCOUNTS RIGHT??) SO back to my intial story, i traded my vehicle in 2 weeks ago, for interest sake i called standard bank a few days after the old car had been settled to query if the account had been properly closed off . . . TO MY SURPRISE the issue i experienced the last time is happening again. The account has not been settled in full according to STANDARD ****. . . SORRY MEANT STANDARD BANK (or did I). . . anyway the worst is yet to come, i spoke to. . . so i call the call centre on several seperate occasions in the space of a week between the 19th of June and today the 24th of June. First i spoke to a lady (sadly cannot recall her name) anyway, she confirms the account is still active and the shortfall is R77 but if the amount is not settled the full amount for the previous vehicle will go off on the debit order date. She assures me she will escalate the matter to back office. . i work in the insurance sector for a very reputable company (just like i thought standard bank was) so when we refer something the query is dealt with almost immediately because we believe our customers to be valuable so we treat them in that manner. Clearly SB does NOT value their customers. . . So i give them a few days to solve the issue then call back, this time i start taking names to make sure, so i speak to a lady by the name of Althea Heys in the same department as the lady i spoke to earlier in the week. She gives me the same message and says she will escalate, at this point i am still very calm as it is only my second call so i feel i should give them more time but i also call the dealer to make sure the amount was settled correctly (which it was) Althea sounded very helpful and assured me she would provide feedback on email which the first consultant did not offer at all. A day later i call as believe it or not i have received no emails as promised by the second consultant. So, the third consultant Lillian Ngube. . .also the same message she will escalate to back office and will provide feedback on email. . . still waiting Lillian? Today is saturday, i call back again this time i speak to Ramiro Kandia who did try to assist to the best of his ability but kept contradicting himself and also telling me about referring the query to back office (AT THIS POINT I FULLY BELIEVE THAT STANDARD BANKS BACK OFFICE IS AS REAL AS UNICORN . . .A MYTHICAL CREATURE THAT EVERYONE HAS HEARD OF BUT NEVER SEEN), so 55 minutes late i request to speak to his team leader (WHICH I SHOULD HAVE DONE ON MONDAY) i speak to (let me be honest) the only person that sounds like she knows what she is talking about GONTSE MORE who within a space of 2 to 4 minutes assisted me with my query and sent me proof that no debits will be made on my account, to which i asked "do your agents have access to the information you just sent me" to which she responds "YES THEY DO" . . . . This, for me is extremely concerning, do standard banks consultants just use the "back office line" to get clients off the phone, do they say they will email us as clients info just to get us of the phone, are they so lazy to do their jobs that they use these lines to get rid of us their clients, who if not for us would not have jobs? because as their team leader said, they have access to the info so why not mail it to us. . . perhaps SB has so many clients that losing a few of us due to bad service doesnt really bother them. 1 MORE THING, CAN YOU REALLY BLAME THE CONSULTANTS, surely your training/coaching methods are in question if they are all doing the same thing. . . dont use them as a scape goat YOU AS STANDARD BANK ARE TO BLAME, i have banked with your institution for 15 years and have not moved due to loyalty but i cannot continue to support an institution that has no value for the people that helped build them over all these years. NOT THAT YOU CARE RIGHT, I AM JUST 1 CLIENT AND YOU HAVE MILLIONS. . . I AM 100% SURE MY CHANGING BANKS WILL NOT AFFECT YOU IN ANY WAY.!!(as of 1 July i will 100% be moving to a different financial institution) THANKS FOR NOTHING!
