Signature Change

Basically.... I went into the Standard Bank branch in Durban yesterday, I Went in to do a transfer to a beneficiary of mine but while doing this..the consultant queried why the system has me as Sewsunker but my ID says Govender. So i explained that Sewsunker is my married name and thats what the bank picks up but I havent changed my surname yet thats why i still go as Govender and so does all my accounts. She then told me that I cant sign as Govender, so I said why cant I when my ID says im Govender. I am married yes but I cant sign as Sewsunker if my ID clearly says Govender which to me seems like something ***** to do. So she basically made me sign a form to change my signature which Im not happy about. This is going to cause huge problems for me. I want to know what can be done about this because i dont feel very comfortable with what has happened and I would like my details to stat the same until I have legally updated my ID document to reflect my married surname.

I just spoke to the branch manager now & she says to me that it was the correct thing to do & but Im just not comfortable with this, what worries me is that all of my other accounts still go as Govender so how can I now go sign elsewhere as Govender but I sign at the bank as Sewsunker?

This doesnt make sense to me, so basically everywhere Im going to sign, there's going to be questions, am I now suppose to take my marriage certificate everywhere I go as proof? This is just too frustrating, I have never heard of someone signing as their married surname but their ID is totally different, I just dont want any ***** suspicions against what ever is going on.

Im now asked to submit proof of residence with my married surname & non of that is on any system with any of my accounts, Now this inconveniences me to go change everything & everything needs to be put on hold until I get new cards & whatever. Can someone please assist me with this.

Thanks in advance
