Should I request assistance from Banking Ombudsman
I kept on getting messages from MBD LC, threatening with imminent legal action - reference number ***. Upon investigation, I realise that this imminent legal action, is about a small debt that I had 18 years ago with Standard Bank , now grew to a whopping R24 000. I started an Action Cricket Business in 1992. Due to unfortunate circumstances, I lost my business.I moved to more affordable premises, was summoned for R500 000 by METCASH and was sequestrated by Metcash in 1997. The sequestration was handled by Margot Swiss Trust in George, Western Cape. I got an Afidavid as requested by MBD LC and did everything that they requested. I contacted Standard Bank Complaint Resolution Centre, who promised me an answer by 25 March 2015, then got another e-mail on 5 April 2015 stating\We will gladly escalate your compliant to the relevant department. We apologise for the delayed response.
We understand your unhappiness on the query. Kindly be advised that we have escalated the query to our Complaints Resolution Centre for assistance as they are in a better position to provide feedback op the query. You are welcome to contact us should you require further assistance. "The last
"""
