SHOCKING SERVICE

I recently attempted to change beneficiary details on our internet banking profile but was not able to do so. I called Standard Bank on 04 January with this query and was told that I would be contact by 12 January. In the meantime I went to the Woodlands Boulevard Branch and, after standing in a queue for an hour I was told by the person who assisted me that the reason I could not load this as a beneficairy was because my credit card was "over it's limit". The only way this could be sorted was for me to make a cash deposit at the ATM. I did this - at a cost of R14 - and the account was rectified. I did not receive and call from the bank on 12 January and attempted to load the card account as a beneficiary only to receive the same response - "Beneficairy reference number could not be identified for this account holder". I had previously had my credit card loaded as a beneficiary on this same account - was trying to change the card account number as it had changed! I called Standard Bank again and the person who answered my call was not able to assist me at all!. She took my telephone number and said that I would receive a call from the relevant department. It is now 12:15 on 13 January and I have had no call from anyone at Standard Bank! We have banked with Standard Bank since 1971. Is this the service they offer clients after 50 years????? I am so disappointed and will certainly never recommend Standard Bank t anyone.
