Shocking Practises

<p>I have been a client of Standard Bank since I was a teenager. I recently had a cheque account - it was dormant and never used it and it accrued interest which I wasn't aware. My account subsequently got handed over to a collections agency - MBD Inc. This aco**** was settled and paid in full and a paid up letter was sent to Standard Bank directly by MBD. Last week I received a call from Brooks & Luyt collections agency for the exact same account and dsaid I owed them money - Is atted that the account was paid in full, settled and closed. After struggling to get through the Standard bank legal department I was met with a rude gentleman who didn't care to help considering this is a Standard Bank mess up. I have today once again spoke to someone at Brooks & Luyt and I have sent them the paid up letter as well as some other email address from Standard Bank and still nothing. The account has been paid up and closed since February and they are still hassling me with the same problem. Of which at the time it going to the colelction agency in the first place - my prvate banker at the time had stated the acount is closed !!</p>
