Shocking behaviour by SB

After receiving an email and sms that Standard Bank has tried to contact me (which they didn't) I decided to phone the number provided.

I was informed by the rep from Hollard that if I do not provide proof of comprehensive insurance policy for my vehicle within 10 days they will forcefully debit an amount from my account to cover my insurance through SBMAC. I informed Hollard in two separate RECORDED conversations that I will not provide my policy until someone from SB has contacted me to explain the process. I week has passed and no one has contacted me and I get an email informing me of a forced debit for the amount of R2300 which will happen on the first.

I clearly stated that I do have comprehensive cover. I wish to know how SB arrived to the amount of R2300 since it is MORE THAN DOUBLE my current premium. I also want my schedule of cover.

I am shocked that no one has contacted me and I now have to fight a forced debit order when I clearly and timely requested to be contacted with the correct information. No one has contacted me.

I have been a loyal client of the bank for 25 years with many financial products. I think this treatment is appalling.
