Settlement /Cancelation figures nightmare with Standard Bank

I have a home loan with the bank and I am in arrears to a point the sent me email to take up easy sell route. I instead found myself a buyer privately and everything was going well until the transfer attorney requested the settlement figures from the bank with no response at all. I tried contacting Std Bank to resolve the issue and still not getting any help. In the email I wrote it got back with the contact info for escalation I did that but the same person I escalated to is referring me back to the contacts that I and the lawyer not getting any response. Is standard bank doing this so that they can reposes the property and leave me in debt as the longer it takes for them to give the cancelation figures the higher the arrears and interest goes. The transfer attorney sent out four request from the beginning of January till now no settlement figures released from the Bank. I do not know what else to do, this is frustrating as the bond would have been settled with the arrears by now
