Service fee for using credit card

I'm probably a fool for only noticing this now, but since when is it ok for SB to charge yet another service fee just for making use of your credit card? I see that this fee wasn't charge last year. Do you offer another credit card option where this fee isn't charged? If not, I won't be making use of this service in future
