Since my company closed during covid and i was retrenched I updated my Std bank insurance to settle my account as I’m no longer working and closed my card. On the 01/June/2022 company asked me to come back to work as they reopen. I also emailed Std bank credit card department to reinstate my credit card. The lady call lindile Khumalo respond my email and told me in order to reinstate my credit card I have a outstanding balance for R1691.59 that need to be paid. And she requested all documents that she will need to do the process of reinstate card. I do send her all requested documents via and settle a amount.

After a month I do call Std bank to do a follow up regarding. I received a email from Mbiza Ronny that told me my reinstat is not successful because of my credit still owing. I was surprised as I know insurance settle all outstanding as they use to request paperwork. In the next few days I receive email from company that called macrobert attorneys they demand me to pay balance of R 57,000.00.

All that was traumatising me because I’m a very hi profile with Std bank and I never ever not pay any credit since I been with them. Even when covid started I use to informed them with every feedback for the status of my work and send them what ever paperwork they requested. Even when they company call me back to work I’m the one who informed they. But Std bank never keep me posted even one single day that I’m still behind with my credit card. I will be making some plans as I was doing for my other debit.

What an unprofessional to treat they client. I call they by myself earlier October to get a clarity from their side. I spoke with a lady called Busisiwe wasa. And I told her I will pay that arrears for R 3391 on the 10/10/2022. And we agree with her that on the 07th of every month they can debit R1800.00. She can activate a debit order. I was surprise when yesterday I find a message that inform me Std bank debit R3430.81. As on the arrangements we both agreed with the amount of R1800.00 monthly. I didn’t aware Std bank works as fly by night as is a big company like this.

I know why I arrange to pay that amount. I also pay my family back those who been assist me during covid to pay my house. Meaning I don’t have to eat or struggle for petrol when I’m going to work because Std bank take all my money that was not on the arrangement. By the other side I get the thread messages from same fly by night attorneys macrobert. Demanding payment. That shows me there is no communication. I need that money back with immediately effect. And don’t forget I also have my attorneys. That I will handle over the matter with them if im not getting this money back. I’m wondering how many people who facing this challenge with Std bank. This is ******** and ***** if I give you access to my account under agreement that you will take this amount once you inside account you take what ever you wish.
