****med while performing online payment

On the 10th of January, I bought vitamin supplements online using my cheque card. I logged into the nutrition 360 site, and l chose the vitamin l intended to buy in SA Rands when l had to pay for the products. the payment screen defaulted to nutrients 360, which converted the SA currency to US Dollars, mutates later l received a call from standard bank ***** division informing me that an amount of R3000 has come amount of my account. I was informed that the money is already banked. I was advised to call 0860 and report the matter. The person who assisted me was very cold and sounded annoyed. l received no sympathy or any logical explanation. Today, l went to the nearest standard bank branch. The consultant checked the status of the transaction, whether it is pending or authorized. I was amazed to find out that the transaction was banked immediately. This means that the merchant banked the money immediately. The risk involved is that if the payment was made to an incorrect merchant account and was banked immediately, there is no chance of reversing it.which is the case in point. I personally believe that the security system is very poor and the standard bank is failing to improve their security system worse their staff is not sufficiently trained in addressing such queries. I therefore recommend that clients who have experienced a similar ordeal migrate their accounts to other banks with better service. Standard Bank fails to mitigate risks in the cyber security system and improve client transaction authentication at all times. Their staff is unable to sufficiently address questions on ICT security services Risk Management around ICT Security Systems. I personally believe that the staff needs proper training on customer service and financial management topics related to their work. Their knowledge is very poor, thus leaving the clients frustrated most of the time
