SBSA Credit Enquiry on ClearScore
I have been coming across enquiries on my credit report from SBSA from May-July 2021 that I did not consent to. I have not tried to apply for a loan from SBSA in those months and did not give them permission to run a credit check on me. This has negatively impacted my credit score. I am honestly disappointed as to why standard bank would run a check on me without my consent or permission and I don’t even know why they run the check because it doesn’t show if it was for a loan or something else. Surely this is not legal?
It is also inconsiderate and inconvenient as I now have to be running around trying to get the credit bureaus to remove it off my profile

01 Sept 2021, 12:27The issue still has not been resolved up until this day. I was called by a consultant to resolve it and I provided all the required information and they said they would look into it only for me to receive an sms last week that it has been successfully resolved and it was due to a technical error. I waited for a new month in order for me to see my new credit score report and the enquiries are still there. This is negatively impacting my credit score as it is not one but 3 enquiries in 3 months that I did not consent to and it looks like I am desperate for credit when I did not apply for any credit at standard bank. I wish Standard Bank would treat this matter as quicker as when they did the credit checks without my consent. This is totally disappointing
