SBMAC Proof of insurance

I keep getting spammed by the so called SBMAC standard bank insurance requesting me to send proof of comprehensive insurance. They even go as far as threatening to deduct money off my account for an Standard Bank Motor Assist Cover (SBMAC) policy underwritten by Hollard Insurance Company Limited (Hollard), a policy of which I never asked for.

SUSPICIOUS! •I have had my car for over 5 years, before I could even get the car I had to have insurance… this was done 5years ago •the insurance documents they are requesting would include all my person details, including address, phone number, id number, etc •they claim to have contacted me via phone and sms too however I have only received is these spam, ****-like mails of which when I called standard bank, they knew nothing of •the email does not have a direct person to contact therefore you would be basically sending your sensitive information to a ghost •the monthly statement mails I receive from the bank look completely different from these **** emails I am receiving

Just by googling this there has been so much outcry about the so called SBMAC and how they are ******** people dating back to at least 3years. Why has nothing been done about this? Why is standard bank leaking our contact details to ********???

Please do something about this. If you are a consumer reading this… PLEASE BE CAREFUL!
