Ruined vacation / cancelled Christmas

My debit card was cloned on the 24th of December and online transactions to the tune of R32 607 was debited to my cheque account. The transactions went through without a one time password from me, which was suppose to happen. Standard bank contacted me at about four o clock asking if the transactions was legit. I assured them they were not and it was definite *****. The lady from the call center assured me they will handle it, the funds will be reversed and should reflect in my bank account within 48 hours. I was worried about debit orders, but she assured me again that will not be problem, the debits will be held separate and everything will be in order. Well, that didn't happen. The funds DID NOT reflect back within 48 hours. We had to cut our holiday short, we were basically left stranded, with no debit or credit card available for ANY transactions. We had to borrow money from relatives to just get back home. We drove the ****m's home on borrowed money, went to the bank IMMEDIATELY upon return to sort it out with our banker. More assurances of "definitely today". (Reagan, Paarl Lady Grey Branch) and Eric Lubbe "definitely on the 3rd of Jan"). Well, neither of that transpired. We got a call from the ***** department on the 4th of January that they are working on the problem and will give feedback TODAY. We didn't get feedback, nor did we get the money back. So, Standard Bank. How *********** are you? How is it possible that every time we get a different story from you? And I am going to point the finger to YOU and say that those transactions should not go through without a one time pin, but it did. How is that possible? Also, why pay service fees, transaction fees for you to keep MY money safe and it isn't. And who is going to give us our vacation back? To say I am disappointed is a understatement. I am embarrassed.
