Royal Mark Debit Order ***** - Failure to act

I recently had a ********** debit order for R115 with ref "Royal Mark" debited on my account. I reported this to the bank and was reversed. However the Standard Bank ***** department is refusing to investigate a ***** case because it is a debit order and not another type of transaction.

This is despite the fact that I have told the bank that I have not authorised this debit order, and initial search does show that this ***** is prevalent, see https://www.hellopeter.com/first-national-bank/reviews/fnb-and-debit-order-****-royal-craft- **********

First the bank accept debit order instructions that are not backed up by any concrete data and then refuse to even investigate the matter. This shows that the bank is uncaring and has no interest of the client at heart. I have been a loyal customer of Standard bank for well over ten years, but my concerns are still not important enough for the bank to even launch an investigation. This is not acceptable and should not be acceptable in this day and age. It means ********** can easily get away debiting our accounts on regular basis because the honors is put on clients to "cancel" debit orders that they did not enter into in the first instance.

The bank needs to take ***** allegations seriously and at least investigate to protect the bank's clients.
