********** by Standard bank
I bought a new car and was financed by Standard bank in 2015. Last year during the first Lockdown i wrote them an email requesting a payment holiday since my salary is based on commission.
I made a 3 months arrangement however i said to them instead adding months to my contract I'd rather pay more for the next three months in order to cover for the payment holiday.
Indeed all was in order and in between i failed to honor the agreement because of affordability, they handed my account to RWN debtor and i spoke to the lady called Rene who explained the situation and urged me to pay R12000 and i will be out of trouble and my account will go back to normal.
I paid the R12000 and all was in order, but she kept calling every month end as if I'm still owing and I did explain to her and reminded her about our last conversation. She then advised me to call Standard bank because she was instructed to threaten me and she is also doesn't know what's happening.
I sent Standard bank vehicle department an email requesting them to amend my statement and fix the errors because they are now charging me a wrong installment and now i am paying what i normally pay and to them seem like they have added extra R3300 which looks like i don't pay and they are adding unnecessary arrears.
My email went through and the respond was "check your statement" I'm still shocked by the short answer and it seem as if the responder didn't read my email or explanation.
Rene from debt department representing Standard bank called again, talking to me like nothing i quote : "listen here lady if you don't pay today I'm sending a car tracer they will take the car today you busy ignoring my calls and emails i am tired of you " this lady spoke to me so bad that i end up crying because of her threats as i was in a bad space of my life ....
Standard bank must fix my statement period.....
