Ridiculous charges for bank statement

I required stamped statements recently and went into a branch to get them printed, as in my experience most place do not accept statements printed off the internet. The process was quick and easy but how can you justify charging R90 for a 90 day statement??? At no point during this request was I informed of the cost either, I only realised now looking at my account. As a private banking customer I already pay a premium every month for my standard bank account.
