Refusing to cash a Std Bank Chq @ STD BANK

I went to Standard bank Kroonstad branch today to cash a cheque for my boss like I have done a few times before. Today I was told that I cannot cash a cheque from the standard bank Senekal branch at Kroonstad branch and if I wanted to cash the cheque I had to drive to Senekal to do so.<br> How ridiculous is this that I cannot cash a Standard Bank Chq at any Standard bank?<br> <br> I would like to know why you are the only bank that has this NEW rule?<br> As when I went to ABSA to cash a different cheque and asked them if they were also implementing this rule they laughed and said that it was ridiculous that I couldn't cash a STD Bank Cheque at STD bank.<br> <br> I feel that this is completely inappropriate and inconvenient.<br> <br> So much for simple banking and smart solutions.
