Refund of monies due to a deceased estate.

The deceased had two accounts with Standard Bank, a savings account and a cheque account. On date of death the cheque account was in debit with an amount of R5 185.76 and the savings account in debit with R15.32. Subsequent to date of death a credit came into the savings account on 15/06/2015 which resulted in the savings account having a credit balance.

On 30/06/2015 an amount of R479.16 was transferred to the cheque account which is in debit and on 04/08/2015 an amount of R5 011.78 was transferred to cheque account to close the account. The amounts were both transferred after date of death without a credit life claim being submitted. The account is now closed and we need to request a refund in the amount of R5 490.94 which was incorrectly set off after date of death as a credit life claim was supposed to be submitted.

Kindly advise the process in order for this amount to be claimed and paid into the estate late account and who the contact person is as we have been sent from pillar to post and no one is able to say who must reverse these monies.
