Rediculous new ATM (Smithfield Branch)

My complaint is regarding the "new" ATM installed at the Smithfield branch.

Previously I could deposit my money and cheques in one deposit at the ATM. Simple and easy.

With the "new" ATM: - I have to deposit cheques and cash separately (pay for 2 deposits) - The cheque function is more often than not offline or non functional. Incidentally I was in Bloemfontein and tried deposit my cheque and the ATM at the waterfront Standard Bank the cheque deposit facility was offline - I am limited by the amount I can deposit at one time in number of notes and amount (R10000) once again multiple deposits. - More often than not I battle get the ATM to take the notes. The ATM rejects the notes because of folding or damage even when the notes are almost new. So multiple attempts to perform a basic function,

I contacted the call centre regarding this a few months ago. I was told that the new machine makes it possible to clear money quicker. This is nonsense since on most occasions I cannot get the "new:" ATM to accept my money.

I went into the bank to find out how much it would cost to do an over the counter deposit. The teller, after looking on Bing search engine and asking the person next to her finally got someone to bring her a poster concerning transaction fees for April 2018. She calculated 1.66 percent per R1000 rand as 66 percent per R1000. I queried that it could not be that much. and that her calculation was wrong. After a few more attempts she finally got to the amount if R182.60 to deposit R11000. I cannot say with confidence that this information is accurate.

I have one free deposit a month which I use to do my deposit. Straight forward and simple. which is why I do not deposit over the counter. This "new" ATM has resulted ludicrous in a situation which according to Standard Bank for my convenience. I think not.

Firstly. Is response from the complaint "acknowledgement" centre, or the complaint resolution centre? I suspect that this is customer support "speak" for we are not going to do anything. Secondly. I feel that I should be thanking you for your "continued support". But I am not getting any. So what now? Am I going to speak to a person instead of receiving some generic response? Is Standard Bank going to address this issue?
