****** at Welkom Branch

<p>I am seriously upset about the blatant ****** behaviour by a WHITE lady working at your branch in Welkom in the Free State. I arrived at the front door of your bank at 10H58 today, Saturday, & she was about to lock the front entrance at the revolving door, but she prohibit me entry showing me that I am late and she is going to lock the door.<br />I asked her nicely if I cant just get access to do a quick transaction but she rudely showed me the sign to get away. As I was stepping back about to leave, a WHITE couple also arrive at the revolving door and want access, & from what could understand in Afrikaans they begged her for access & there she was opening the door for them!!</p> <p><br />Another three WHITE people arrived & again she opened the door for them. I stepped forward again asking her if I can get access, but she told me clearly that it is a risk for her to open for me as it is now after 11H00, & I should get away.</p> <p><br />My point is : is it because that I am BLACK that I am a risk for her to open the door, as she quickly & without hesitation opened the door for the WHITE people when they asked her in Afrikaans.</p> <p><br />Really Standard Bank.....in these days you do not need to employ people that still promote apartheid & that do not want to build our South Africa to one where everyone is equal.</p> <p><br />Please respond to me soonest on what remedial action you will take to solve this.</p> <p><br />Dr. Thembi Motaung </p>
