R10000 Taken Without Permission after Arrangements Made and no Response from the bank

Good day,

I was unemployed for 5 months and this meant my debt skyrocketed. I have been with Standardbank for about 10 years. I had on overdraft and a RCP loan.

I made explicit arrangements over the phone with standardbank that I will pay R100 on my accounts and the phone calls have conveniently vanished. The one particular phone call the lady put the phone down after I asked her to make an arrangement for me to pay R100 on my account on the 1st of June. Not only was the lady rude she put the phone down in my ear.

On 30 June however, Standardbank deducted R5794 from my savings account for my RCP Loan. I could not pay all my rent and was forced to change ALL my arrangements made with other debtors. I could no longer keep to my original arrangements. As you can imagine my credit score already being bad what this did to my name. I could not pay my full rent and deposit and was now kicked out of my apartment and I need to move out end of this month, the landlord has also started legal action against me. I can also not afford my Epitec and Truvalin medication which I had to get off cold turkey and I am now struggling to sleep and I am feeling very ill every day as I have been on this medication for 4 plus years. This medication costs R990 per month and I am not on a medical aid at this point anymore. This is only the beginning, The

Then Standardbank took another R3745 from another savings account in which I split my money as this was money for my cleaning lady, food, electricity and other necesities for the month.

I am now struggling more than I did before as I already owe alot of money and now I cannot live through this month. I have had to sell most of my things perviously to survive so when I got my first salary I hoped after making arangements I will be ok. Now Standardbank took my money, I have nothing more to sell. I have no food I went to bed hungry last night.

I first phoned Prestige Banking and was put through to specialised collection services. Here I was told to write an email explaining why the money should be returned to be. I did so. My emails have gone unanswered. I have even sent emails to the escallation emails and still no response over a week later. I really need my money back. So I phoned specialised collection services again yesterday and I keep getting told to send emails. This is not acceptable.

R10000 is a lot of money. It is most people's salaries. I cannot imagine that Standardbank can think it is ok to ***** from someone's account.

Thank you!
