Poor Service from Standard Bank Home Loans
We app**** for Standard Bank bond on 22 June and was offered a loan on 26 June. On 27 I asked for interest rate review. I received an updated offer on 10 July and on the same day an instruction went to the attorneys. The following week we were called to sign Bond Registration papers by the conveyance attorneys, which we did. Soon after that, the Reserve Bank increased Prime lending rate by 0.25%, meaning that an updated Loan Pre-agreement and instruction were required. This request was made on 29 July and today it's 17 August and still NOTHING. The Reserve Bank will be doing another review in September and by the look of things, our bond will still not be registered and we will be back to square one. The person who bought out last property through another bank at the same time when we app**** for this one already has a bond registered and we are still far from lodging. What is the problem? This is the worst service I have ever received from a bank.
