Poor Responce to ***** Complaint

I received a call from a "Company" stating they were doing a promotion in conjunction with Mastercard and they knew my card number etc etc. I ordered goods from them and these goods never arrived.

I then reported this and the circumstances and why I thought there was a **** involved to Standard Bank on the 21st November 2016 at 12h05 and was on the call to the consultant for 18 mins 49secs and was given a reference number and he said he would send documentation that need to be filled out.

4 Days later when I hadn't received the documentation, I called again only to be told that there was no such reference number.

I then expressed my dissatisfaction to the consultant and explained that this was not just a case of someone having my card number but was indeed a "merchant" and they should be investigated. He explained that he needed the documentation which he then sent me and which i duly filled out and returned never to be heard of again until today (8th December 2016.... 13 days later) when I AGAIN called to find out what was happening to the case. This time I was on the line for 18 mins and 6 sec without any help and then again for 59 mins ands 34 sec only to be told that my dispute would be resolved on 23rd January 2017 because the "back office' is investigating. I was also told that the dispute was only registered yesterday (7th December..... 12 days after it was reported for the 2nd time). During this conversation, I again reiterated that this was an urgent matter as this "merchant" was now at liberty to continue ******** people.

As it so happens, about 4 minutes after my conversation with the call center, I received a call from the same merchant obviously unaware that I already knew who they were, trying to sell me the same story.

If this is the level of security and customer service that Standard Bank offers, where they do not take reports of possible ***** / ****s seriously and are prepared to take 3 months to investigate, then i must issue a warning to all prospective and current Standard Bank / Mastercard clients to reconsider their position.

This is just not good enough Standard Bank!!

As expected Standard Bank.... you just fob off the public with a "canned response" and nothing is ever done about these things.
It just keeps getting poorer

I refer to your email and your unwillingness to engage me in this matter.
Your haste to say that this matter is resolved is merely an effort to appease the public who are following this complaint.
You have made NO EFFORT WHATSOEVER to fami****ise yourself with the facts of this case and your statement that the funds have been transferred back into my account have amounted to nothing as 5 working days later the funds still do not reflect.
This matter has not been resolved and the merchant is still operating and de*****ing your clients.
