Poor record keeping

I had an old standard bank RCP loan account that was closed since June 2016 but to my surprise the account appears as still open on my credit profile.

This has negetively affected me.

Nobody was able to do their job correctly enough to notify the correct people to update the records... Guess it wasn't their life so they didn't bother about the impact of leaving the account open and listed as over due.

After much frustration I manage to get a letter stating that the account was closed...waited over a year for that too...

Only to realise that the letter only states that the account has been closed and doesn't state the date of closure.

When asked for a letter stating the date of closure was told that it would not be possible.

I have had such a miserable time banking with you...as a young professional I'm never gonna bank with you guys again.

I've been in contact with Experian and was told that standard bank never informed them of the closure.

I am still no waiting for standard bank to contact Experian to notify the closure.

Someone has dropped the ball

Please fix it.
