Poor Information = Poor Service

On the 16th May 2017I recieved an SMS which read "Standard Bank: Please collect your Cheque card at TYGER MANOR branch with ID & proof of address. Your Ref number is : ********** 140"

On the 20th May 2017 I went to the branch mentioned above with required documents in hand. I was then told the document I had for proof of address could not be used no reason given and was turned away.

On the 3th June (3 days after my card as expired) I again went to the branch with a different proof of address at which point again I was turned away as the proof I had is not an accoint I recieved on a monthly basis and was once again turned away with "Sorry wrong document can not help GOOD BYE"

At this point I am unable to make any purchases as my card is expired

Can someone please indicate in the SMS above where they mention that only certain documents will be accpeted and if you dont have it tough \

I am only able to go the bank on a Saturday as I work far from home +- 45 K's in the other direction to the bank

And today being my second attempt yet a failure due to poor information being supp**** to customers and I say customers with a great deal of hesitation as I get the feeling the people in the bank have the attitude of if you don't like it leave

No one is willing to offer a solution and or an appology for me time and effort

I live 25K's away from the bank and can not afford to drive up and down trying to get my card

As of 3 days ago I cant even put petrol in my car

I don't expect any outcome from this as stated above the people in the bank see themselves as they are doing us a favour being there and not us "the custmoers" doing them a favour for keeping our business with the bank which in turn pays their salaries

John
