Poor Home Loan application processing
I called Standard Bank to apply for a further bond on 17.03.2016 (ref.# ***), they had problems with their system and consultant named Bongani had to call me back and give me another ***. Bongani advised me that I was provisonally approved for R160 000 and I emailed by payslip and i.d. copy.

I followed up on 18.03.2016 and was told that I was declined by their system and that I should submit a credit report for arbitration. I emailed the report on the same day because I know have an excellent record and managed my accounts with Standard Bank very well; my credit score was 980 with Transunion. I received no feedback from arbitration until I visited Berry's Corner branch on 02.04.2016 when I found out my ref# had changed again to *** and was approved. My bond registration was going to take 6 weeks and so I app**** for an overdraft facility with Standard Bank but they declined me saying I have too many enquiries on my credit report. It is Standard Bank Home Loans who did so many enquiries on my report from one application I submitted. Why shouldn't I get credit that is within my affordability? Why is my case not looked into, why am I being treated as just a number?
