Poor client retention strategy

On the 11 of December 2016, I was ****** by three armed suspects. They stole my belongings including my bank card and money. Fast forward to me realising that money had been withdrawn from my account and realising I was a victim of *****, and having opened a ***** case. The outcome was that I will not be refunded the money because somehow the suspects got hold of my pin (which I did not give). Dealing with the representatives from the ***** department on the phone was a traumatic ordeal in itself, because there was no expression of empathy whatsoever. Her name was Veronica. She told me that she had no idea how they got hold of my pin because she was not workig with them. I found this very condescending.

I believed in Standard Bank, I have banked with them for years and even advocated the brand to others behind closed doors.

It is clear that they have no client retention strategy whatsoever and it is unfortunate that this relationship has to end.

Right now I am sitting here, unemployed, needing money- my last money that was taken away from me, and "my" bank has looked the other way. I was retraumatised by the service from the client reprenstative, the lack of empathy and the inablility for them to come up with a solution.

It is really dishearting. I am trying to understand how anyone can access my account with me not giving the pin. I am constantely being bombarded by mailers about *****. But my biggest question is what are you doing about it? This shows the lack of innovation from the bank. Infact I am being ********ised by staff for apprarently handing my password over. I even took the liberty to take it to social media and they said they would "call back". Still waiting for the call.

Wow. I am beyond me even right now. I need answers because I need to pay bills!

Highly dissapointed!
